Wat Khum Aram is one of two Buddhist temples that have mummified monks on display. Sitting in the meditation position the preserved body of the monk, Loung Pordaeng, is housed in a glass case. He died over 20 years ago while meditating in the same position, it is unknown if he was wearing sunglasses back then but he is now.
The building in which the mummy monk is displayed was specially constructed in order that people can come and pay their respects.
Within the grounds of the temple are buildings with statues of Buddha in a variety of positions some seated, others reclining and more upstanding. Wat Khum Aram is on the 4169 ring road at Ban Thurian.
